Most censored headlines

I found these articles to be extremely interesting

I hope this link works. It's my first time actually posting one.

The sixteeth article, which covers U.S. plans for Canada, was one fo the especially disturbing ones.

Toady Today

Had to wake up at 7:30. No fun. Mostly beat last night's drinks by having a lot of water, but was naturally groggy with my 4.5 hrs of sleep. Remember turning off the alarm clock immediately, falling back asleep for 1/2 an hour waking up and writhing trying to rip myself out of the sheets. Got to school and realized I didn't know what room I was supposed to go to. After I went up to the mean, grumpy, curmudgeonly clerk and politely asking her where to re-direct me, it was off to the new building where I waltz in late and haggard and sit beside Jerkster McNerdington behind Tallfellow Whatsmells de Cabbage. My prof is arrogant and "weird" it would seem. The class is Production Planning, it's a requirement for my degree. It's about how to be a producer or something and make sure to set up donut tables before a film shoot and don't make children act in -30 weather for more than 5 hours at a time. Then I went home and did some yard work.

I'm a Ninjassassin Jaguar (cowboy, zombie, robot, pirate)

Well with that kind of hype the story must now be told.

Date: Monday, Sept. 5, 2005
Time: 11pm -ish
Who: Shirin, Lina, Leo Salmon Eye
Where: The Evil Empire...I mean U of T
What: Murda-venture
Why: For good or for awesome

At the Red Room Shirin's friend Lina told us that she was invited to some sort of U of T frosh week luau, get leid party. We walk up to Woodsworth College but were promptly turned away at the door because we were not on the registered guests list, but Lina was. Undetter, we were determined to find an alternative entrance. We found our way to the back of building and climbed up on the roof. Sam and I were like fucking ninjassassins. Salmon Eye began looking for a stealthy way into the party in the courtyard, but without succcess. Meanwhile Shirin was on her mobile phone with Lina on the inside who spotted us. We could see from our roof top perch that this was a kidster sobriety party, the kind that plays Sean Paul.

Lina left and joined us out side, she was accompanied but some uber-schluby dude (Leo can speak to his schlubiness more than I can). We were walking back towards the Red Room, Salmon Eye, being full of thief-like adrenaline, started climbing up fire escapes and attempted some B&E. As we were prowing through the service ares of the rez building we saw a guy skulking around some dumpsters. When we followed him we saw people wearing glo sticks running around Front Campus (the big grassy common area by Convocation Hall). We axed Skulker what was going on, he told us that it was a massive game of capture the flag between three rez building and that if we wanted to play (which of course we did) that we should find someone with lots of blue glo sticks and tell them that we're from Morrison Hall. That was easy, then we just went and found our new Morrison brothers and sisters, who had no reason to doubt that we belonged there.

Salmon are great actors, we were cocky, friendly, funny, charming and outgoing. When the other team tried rushing into our territory we were ferocious and brutal. It was as if I was channeling some big cat, maybe a pyooma, maybe a jaguar perhaps even a liger. Someone from Morrison identified one guy on the other team who was supposedly some sort of track star. He was running circles around the Morrison kids, but even track stars can't resist a snarling fury that flies out of the darkness at them. During the whole game opponents grumbled about my styles but no one actually told me that the game was one- or two-hand touch.

In the end we lost, but that wasn't important. Everyone gathered in one of the quads for congratulations to the winning team then they all dispursed. We followed Skulker into one building and joined a group waiting in for an elevator, among the folks waiting was Matthew Cuthbert + 30 lbs. I thought he would blow our cover but I guess he didn't want to test my mad tacklin' abilities. Salmon Eye rode the elevator to the top, got off wrote stuff on people message boards ("Hey kevin get well soon. I hope the crabs clears up soon. Luv Tom P.S. sorry about last night"). We took the stairs up to the air conditioning floor, opened a door and were confronted by somsurly maintenance dudes who threatened to kick us out of rez if they caught us there again. After exploring the subterrainian corridors of a connected building we went home.

Oh yeah as I was coming home I passed Much Music VJs Devon and Sarah, I think they were going to the Communists Daugher.

Good Times Afoot

First day of class today. I already feel like I'm learning a lot.
20th century hist (intro course), English Drama, Comics & Cartoons 1900-cold war; All winners! Also, most of my classes are also stacked with people I know, so that's another plus. I think I got a good year lined up.

Fun tidbit from today: The guy who created wonder woman was also a bondage fetishist (obvious) who helped invent the lie-detector (less obvious). And I have the Wiki to prove it! Seriously, good day all around. I am enthusiastic for the future.

What else has been going on with Sam, you ask? Not too much. Two nights ago, Meyers and I crashed a U of T frosh event, which was cool. But I'll let him tell that story... (Let's just say that it's a capturing tale! I'd flag him down and make him tell you about it, if I were you!)

Kay, that's about all I've got to tell for now. bye, y'all!

(P.S. Yorkers: Pick up you copies of Mondo while their hot!)

Well!

So I'm back. Got in at midnight last night. Big goodbyes all around. Slept on the drive in. Me ma and our family friend came up to get me and my stuff. Ananda went off to work for a month at Algonquin in the sub-office. That is real cool. I would like to be able to do the same. Killbear is something, alright. This summer really was the time of my life.

I am not looking forward to going to class. I should be excited for being able to start up feature screenwriting, but it's just like, damn, going back to York. It doesn't compare with being out at KB. Mind you, part of my satisfaction with KB this summer was getting to make the programs. And really, even though my job title was naturalist, the best stuff I was doing was dramatic / visual. So that puts some faith in me for this drama, storytelling, scriptwriting business of next year.

And MONDO, and people and drinking I definitely look forward to. And hurray we got Neil and Benj back in Toronto this year.

Got my wisdom teeth out.

Oook ackk fuck they hurt. Bought a bag, it's super-cool. I think I might try to wear a hat. I think hats are stupid, and that I look stupid in hats. But perhaps it is time to reevaluate my stance. This is because I just bought a cool hat also, along with my super-cool bag.

School on Wednesday! I'm excited.

I don't actually have anything to say, I'm just posting to see if my new RSS reader works.
