I win at life.

GER  1000  6.00 A     Elementary German                        B
POLS 2900  6.00 C     Perspectives on Politics            A
DANC 1500  6.00 A   The Dance Experience (Lecture/Studio)   A
FACS 2900  6.00 A     Rethinking Representation                A
FACS 3400  3.00 A     The Cabinet of Curiosities              B+

Ironically, despite not having taken a single film course this year, not only have I not been kicked out of the program, but I can continue in Honours. Heh. But I should basically fo' sho' be in FACS now.

What I want to know is, how did I get these marks? What the fuck?

Goin' Ape

Just learned about this this morning from AVRN. Quality commercial-free listening, and while the traditional music is sometimes difficult to handle, it is excellent for getting one out of bed.

I slept for 11 hr.s last night. Still sort of sick. My "boss" let me finish up early with tutoring, which was nice. Went out and got Fisherman's friend original extra strength. They're really hardcore. My tongue feels like I scalded it with hot chocolate.

Hooray for free stuff!

Oh, how do I love my job, let me count the ways!

Free stuff is the shiznit. On wednesday I got to go see a free concert at the Kool House (Snow Patrol with openers Athlete - both good shit) and today I got a bunch of free CD's from EMI music Canada (one of them being the new Gorillaz album - the rest I've never heard of). I also got an invite to a BBQ sponsored by Puma celebrating NXNE (I think).

Did I mention how much I love this new career path? Now if only I got paid for it, that would be nice too.

Ok, enough of me talking about how awesome journalism is. On to what's sucking in my life.

I have to leave T.O. It's pretty for-sure now, which sucks. Next weekend I have to move out of my temporary pad. There's just nothing I can do about it right now. I still can't find a job (any job would have done). And worse yet, I can't even find a job in Cobourg, which means that I'm going to have to face the wrath of Mom as soon as I get home.

Boo being poor and boo Cobourg.

The Daily Times III

After the overwhelming demand for more pictures, I finally have some new shit on XWP.

Shyearb. Only 10 days left here, abouts. That's crazy.

Been loafin'. Playin' vidje games. Not much to report. Lemme know whatcha tink of da preview - I mean pictures. Some of them were taken specifically for yall benefit.

Be gentle, its my first time....

Hey all! I've finally got on the blog thingie! Woohooo! So ummm, well I guess I really don't have much to talk about right now...

Oh ya, any of you seen the movie "FUBAR"? It's a popular cult Canadian movie about headbangers w/ mullets. I haven't seen it but I've heard good stuff. Well I was supposed to interview the director of that movie today (cuz he has a new movie coming out called "It's all gone Pete Tong" - it's pretty good), well lets just say that publicity people can be a major pain in the arse. They always change the times for interviews and make you re-schedule your entire life around them. grr.... So long and boring story short - the interview is now on tomorrow and life is good.

Meeting possible roommate for next year at 3:30pm. Hoping he's cute, not counting on it.

Out.

Star Wars

Ok, so as I'm sure you're all well aware thursday is that day Episode III comes out, and as I'm sure you can guess, I am going to see it. Who's coming with? There's a 1:00 pm show at Paramount, so I think we should go see that. We'll need to be there an hour early but it'll be worth it! So who's in?

"Essential Skills: Oral communication"

It's weird I was blogging a lot during exams when I really shouldn't have been, and now that I'm off school I'm not really blogging. Of course this wonderful state of leisure will have to end which is why I've been poking around for a job. You find the damndest things on the internet though, given these requirements, what sort of job do you think this is:
"Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Bending, crouching, kneeling"
The answer may surprise you!

I haven't really been following the Michael Jackson trial because there's absolutely no news there. I don't really watch much tv (outside of Family Guy, The Daily Show and on my computer, Babylon 5 episodes) so I guess I'm spared the endless fascination with it. My completely uninformed opinion is that he probably didn't do it. I honestly think he was just trying to live the childhood that his father deprived him of having. That said, check out numbers 21 and 35 on this neverland ranch map. Hat-tip to, kfmonkey. If you're not reading his blog you really should be. Lots of great stuff and hopefully he'll be telling us soon why Catwoman was so bad.

Goin' Home

Last night saw Salmon Eye and Leo trek home from friggen York at 3 in the morning. I dunno if any of you have ever done it, but goddamn, is it ever fuckin dead up there. I was worried for a while that maybe someone would mug us, but after it became apparent that we were the only people alive for miles, I realised it was a pretty dumb. But hey! Colleen should be joining us on Ape shortly, and Claire too maybe.

I started reading Going Home vol 1, book 13 of Cerebus, today at the Lillian H. Smith library. It's pretty good so far. I gotta get back there soon and finish it up. Fuck though, I missed it. It's good to be back.

I had more to say but I'm going to see you all at Neil's now. I think Saka asked me out. We'll see.

West Sayyyeeeed!

(cricket sounds)

Where is everybody? Sewiously, Pom Pom.

I sent Strongbad an email today asking him if he'd ever been camping. I think that's a good question because it would give the Chaps somewhere to start but it's still pretty open ended.

Mush! Mush! Whoa! I just got back from Mexicana with this authentic Swedish style television set! Free TV set for anyone who wants it! This 12.5" black and white Sanyo is "ichiban" for the whole family! The dog sled is real, the free TV is real and the beard is real!
