I know I told several of you this story already, but here it is in comic form. It is an autiobiographical comic I made at the start of my trip in the classic "MT" style. It is actually true.
Other than that, the trip provided a great time to stuff my face with quality delectables and "bow down" to the scenic West SiiIIDE. Yae YAE! Pictures soon. Also, it is no exaggeration, people on cruise ships really are all old.

it seems I've doomed myself to forever apologize....
Hey everyone,
My GOD I have not posted in a long time, so yet again I apologize profusely. *insert profuse apologies here*. It seems when I'm not emailing my course director/profs/TAs begging for slightly higher grades out of a fear of not getting into my desired program stream (man I hated second year and my grades will show it), I'm working at one of my two summer jobs.
That said, I'm really happy to be fundraising for the NDP at one of them. Tonight I raised over $500 dollars for them, which makes me feel really good. I don't want to plug my political choice too much, but seriously check them out (you'd be surprised how Conservative the Green Party is). Whatever party you like, just vote in the next election to gain my undying respect....though I'm not sure about that if you vote Conservative....*hems and haws*.
Now, my summer hasn't been all work and no play so far. I actually started a vegetable garden that I'm really enjoying, and wrote an article and planned a bunch of others. The part of me that's desperate for free time really wants to quit Blockbuster....we'll see.
Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great summer so far!

Revalation: the TV Movie
My mom told me something very bizarre the other day. Apparentlty my 36 year old uncle Bob has moved to Hollywood where he has somehow schmoozed his way to being the producer of the Christian version of Entertainment Tonite. Bob is one of those non practicing Christians, he probably hasn't attended Sunday mass in years. On the other hand he's been The Biz his whole working life since his first job in high school at the video store. Most recently while working at an agent in Toronto his business partner owned a production company that specialized in Christian films. There's a huge market for these kinds of movies on video. I think in the Bible Belt they outsell videos for regular people.Yesterday we volunteered at the VE Day parade and ceremony at the CNE. I got to talk to a lot of vets as well as women who were in theatre at the time. I met one woman who had been in the Polish underground and another who had been captured after the fall of Hong Kong and had seen the rest of her family killed. I spent several hours avoiding actually work to talk to the daugter of mom's coworker who was also volunteering.
